Mr. Owen a volunteer for Wales Air Ambulance gave us a presentation at the AGM which was well accepted. The donation was also in thanks to Heidi Duffy of shinysideup.co.uk.

Dylan and Ian behind the stand imparting their knowledge! We had many expressions of interest throughout the day, but surprisingly more for bike courses than car courses!

Visit to the Cross Hands HGV Training Centre

We visited the HGV Training Centre on Monday 14th August 2023. The CWWAM would like to thank Cross Hands HGV for hosting the event, for showing us all the blind spots from the cab of the lorry and for answering our questions. Rain kept off whilst we were outside!!

Roy Price Memorial Ride 28th May 2023

Excellent turnout for the third Roy Price Memorial Ride, with good company and glorious weather. Mike Simon was ride leader and we travelled on some brilliant roads to St Dogmaels Abbey for our first stop. We enjoyed a good lunch at the Trewern Arms in Nevern and then onto St David's Cathedral, where we had an "Unofficial"Tour of the Abbey. Thanks to all who turned out, also to John Rees for being the Sweeper.

Committee Meeting

The CWWAM committee met on 1st April at 7am in Wesley Chapel, Carmarthen

Travels in Mongolia

with committee member Elly Morgan

On the 25th february, Elly Morgan gave a fantastic talk on her numerous travels throughout Mongolia. Her presentation had projected visuals, videos and examples of clothes, utensils, tools and gave us an understanding of a different way of life. Elly also bought some original Mongolian clothes as modelled (above) by our chairman, Mike Simon-you look beautiful Mike! There were plenty of questions for Elly and the evening was rounded off with tea, buscuits and a raffle! Well done Elly!!
